Boston LOVES Impressionism

Boston LOVES Impressionism

I choose Claude Monet‘s “Meadow with Poplars” when the MFA, Boston invited it’s members to choose their favorite Impressionist work for an exhibition entitled “Boston loves Impressionism”.

“Boston loves Impressionism” is a collection of 30 fan voted Impressionist paintings from the MFA, Boston’s permanent collection which spans from the 1870s and 1880s to the present.  The exhibit opens on Valentine’s Day, February 14th.

Claude Monet‘s “Water Lilies” received the most votes. Here is a link to the other 29 works of art.

If you visit the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston over the opening weekend (Feb 14-16), there will be many things to do like watching “When Harry Met Sally” on Friday night, sampling red velvet cupcakes from three of the on site restaurants, gallery talks, and, a Vivaldi Concerti performed by Handel and Haydn.

…Art Exhibits present a wonderful opportunity to learn…
